WordPress Website Launch Checklist

Zynprint WordPress Website Launch Checklist

WordPress Website Launch Checklist

Use this practical checklist to review a WordPress website before making it public. Check items as you complete them; your progress is calculated in this browser and is not sent to Zynprint.

0 of 25 tasks complete

Start with the sections below.

Content and pages

Review page titles, headings, spelling, and grammar.

Confirm About, Contact, Privacy Policy, and other required pages are complete.

Check that images have appropriate alt text and usage rights.

Remove placeholder text, demo content, broken embeds, and unfinished sections.

Test menus, internal links, buttons, and calls to action.

Design and functionality

Review layouts on mobile, tablet, and desktop screen sizes.

Test forms, confirmation messages, and email delivery.

Test search, navigation, downloads, and interactive tools.

Check page loading, image sizing, and visible layout shifts.

Confirm accessibility basics: readable contrast, keyboard focus, and form labels.

SEO and discoverability

Set a unique SEO title and useful meta description for important pages.

Check preferred URLs, canonical tags, and redirects for consistency.

Review XML sitemap and robots.txt; ensure intended public pages can be indexed.

Connect or verify Google Search Console and inspect key URLs.

Check social sharing previews and structured data where applicable.

Security, privacy, and reliability

Confirm HTTPS works and no mixed-content warnings remain.

Update WordPress, themes, and plugins; remove unused extensions safely.

Create a fresh backup and confirm the restore process is understood.

Review user accounts, strong passwords, and appropriate permissions.

Verify privacy/cookie notices and consent tools match the site's actual data practices.

Analytics and launch checks

Verify analytics and conversion events, if used, without recording unnecessary personal data.

Check 404 handling, redirects, and important legacy URLs.

Confirm contact details, business information, and service availability are current.

Review cache/CDN settings and purge caches after final changes.

Run a final real-device walkthrough and document any known limitations.

This checklist is a general planning aid, not a security audit, legal compliance certification, or guarantee of search indexing or AdSense approval. Adapt it to your site, jurisdiction, and hosting setup.
